LUNCH and a fun-filled day out at the Whitchurch parish fete is on the agenda at the former home of one of Britain’s greatest ever judges, Lord Denning.
The fete will be held at The Lawn in Church Street on Saturday 12 July from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
Fete committee member Aizel Finch said: “It gets even more exciting this year with new stalls, scrummy locally sourced burgers and sausages, overflowing PIMM’s, beer and various refreshments!
Assorted, delicious cakes will be available too.
“Entertainment is at its best with live music including contributions from Testbourne School, short performances in the crowd by WADS (Whitchurch Amateur Dramatic Society) and displays by various local dance groups.”
She added: “The duck races are enhanced and made more fabulous with sponsors also getting their ducks to bet on, and visitors guessing which duck numbers will win!
“Not many know that some of the proceeds from the Parish Fete help the church to support various local and overseas charities.”
