THE date has been announced for the Whitchurch Parish Fete, which will be held on 12 July at 12.30pm.

A fun-filled day will be held on The Lawn on Church Street until 4.30pm and all are welcome.

This year new stalls and locally sourced burgers and sausages as well as plenty of Pimm’s and beer will be on offer.

Entertainment will be of a high standard once more with live music including contributions from Testbourne school, short performances in the crowd by WADS (Whitchurch Amateur Dramatic Society) and displays by various local dance groups.

A coconut shy, hunting ducks and duck races will also be on offer for younger visitors to try out and win prizes.

Proceeds from the parish fete will go towards the church to help them support various local charities at home and abroad.
