A NEW display has opened in Andover Museum and Museum of the Iron Age.
The Andover branch of the Embroiderers' Guild will hold the exhibition of members’ work, called Journeys through Stitch, at the Church Close museum until 21 June.
It was officially opened by MP Sir George Young, who told the Advertiser: “I was really uplifted by the exhibition and impressed by the blend of traditional skills of embroidery with the modern techniques and ideas.”
Councillor Jan Lovell, Mayor of Test Valley, was also at the opening.
She said: “It’s absolutely fabulous, it’s craftwork from the past but it’s also modern. How fantastic to still have these skills.”
