CHILDREN and families in Andover had the opportunity to get creative on Tuesday when the Makendoo Craft Crew visited The Chantry Centre.

This was one of many workshops run for Eco Kids Club members, who could have fun and learn at the same time.

The Father’s Day themed event inspired children to make best dad and star dad hats, banners and flags and personalised cards.

They also made British Lions and Brazillian carnival hats, in the run-up to the World Cup.

Steve Cotney, manager of the Chantry Centre, said: “The craft workshops provide fun-filled activities to keep the children amused whilst helping them to learn.”

The workshop is part of a year-long programme of events that will be held in The Chantry Centre.

The next one will be on 29 July.
