ANTON Rotary Club is organising a Swimathon in partnership with Andover Leisure Centre to raise funds for a number of local charities on Sunday, 22 June between 1.45pm and 4.45pm.

The club is seeking up to 100 swimmers to take on the challenge to swim anything from one length up to a mile (64 lengths of the pool) in the Andover Leisure Centre swimming pool.

Swimmers are being asked to get themselves sponsored by family, friends and acquaintances to raise funds for the following local charities: Andover Neighbour Care, Andover Young Carers, Andover Athletics Club, The Bruce Trust – Canal Boat Holidays for Disabled, Disadvantaged and Elderly people, Andover Food Bank, Andover Cruse Bereavement Charity, Katie Piper Foundation and 3 Smiles.

Swimmers of any age and any standard are invited to take part to help raise funds for these local charities that support people in our local community.

Swimmers will be given the opportunity to select their starting time for their swim at hourly intervals starting at 1.45pm, 2.45pm or 3.45pm.

The selection of a time will be made on the registration form, which they are invited to collect from either the Andover Leisure Centre or from Anton Rotary’s website at www.antonrotary.org.uk – log on and download a registration form.
