PARENTS are being invited to a coffee morning to find out more about how they can help Tidworth and Pewsey families.
Home-Start Kennet would like to hear from anyone who has experience from raising their own children to spare a couple of hours a week to visit local families who are struggling.
Volunteers come from all parts of the community, are men and women, and their ages range from 20s to 70s.
The organisation supports families across the former area of Kennet – Marlborough, Devizes, Pewsey, Tidworth and the rural areas and villages in between.
Volunteers will get training and professional support, along with the opportunity of national accreditation.
The next preparation course begins on September 30 for eight consecutive Tuesdays.
Anyone who would like to learn more about Home-Start volunteering are invited to an informal coffee morning during National Volunteers Week, on Saturday, 7 June, from 11am to 2pm, at SSI House, Fordbrook Business Centre, Pewsey, SN9 5NU.
To register interest in the coffee morning, email homestartkennet.a@ btconnect.com or call 01672 569457.
