THE last remaining tickets for this summer’s two CarFest festivals were released for sale on Wednesday during Chris Evans’s Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2.
CarFest South is taking place at Laverstoke Park Farm near Overton over the 22-24 August bank holiday weekend, with CarFest North at Oulton Park, Cheshire, on August 1-3.
Tickets for both CarFest events were put on sale last November during the Breakfast Show to coincide with BBC Children in Need’s Appeal week and sold out almost immediately.
However, a number of all ticket types were kept back and were released at 8am on Wednesday.
In addition, due to positive consultations with the local community, there will be a slight increase in capacity at CarFest South.
As well as classic cars – including many from Evans’s own collection – there will be a star-studded line-up on stage, too, with performances from Erasure, Chas & Dave, Eliza Doolittle, Seasick Steve, Tom Odell, Texas, Simple Minds, Sophie Ellis- Bextor, The Feeling, Scouting for Girls, Jamie Cullum, Jools Holland and many more.
