A WOMAN will run her 10th marathon in memory of her dad and to raise money for the Andover hospice that supported him.

Lisa Mercer-Leach will take part in the Milton Keynes marathon on Saturday in aid of the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, in Andover.

The Bedfordshire 44- year-old will run as Wonder Woman in memory of father Barry English, who lived in Charlton and died in the hospice in December 2013 aged 63.

Lisa said: “The hospice provided care and support for him and for us as a family their assistance and care was truly second to none.

“I have always raised money for worthwhile causes that mean a lot to me personally however this is the closest relative I have ever lost and I feel that the hospice staff and the care and support he and we as a family were given was amazing and much appreciated.

“I hope to raise money as well as the profile of this wonderful establishment and would welcome any support through donations direct to Countess of Brecknock Hospice, Charlton Road, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 3LB.

“To celebrate my 10th marathon I will be running for the first time in fancy dress as Wonder Woman and hope that I can inspire others as much as my dad inspired me.”

Lisa has completed seven London marathons and two Milton Keynes marathons in the past nine years.
