Kings of the Enham Trust stage

A CHEERING audience declared Enham Trust’s production of The Lion King a roaring success.

The cast and choir are all members of the disability charity’s popular drama group Choices and had been rehearsing for several months.

Their dedication paid off. The performance was energetic and colourful with slick wheelchair choreography devised by Adele Daly, the producer.

“I am so proud of each and every one of them,” said Adele.

“Their acting was phenomenal and they’ve worked so hard to give the audience a night to remember.”

Enham Trust supports thousands of disabled people to lead independent lives and achieve their aspirations. Members of the drama group are involved in every aspect of the production from acting, to creating costumes and scenery.

“They are a force of nature – inspirational,” said a proud Peta Wilkinson, Enham Trust CEO.

“The whole cast and supporting staff and volunteers engender such a wonderful spirit of achievement. Thank you is not enough.”

The sell-out show was attended by staff, trustees and friends and families of the cast, all of whom live at Enham Trust in Enham Alamein.

Everyone who took part was presented with a single rose and certificate.
