Dogs Trust near Tidworth is making an urgent appeal for members of the public who are dog-lovers, to donate blankets and towels for the four-legged friends at the Newton Tony rehoming centre.

There are around 70 dogs including puppies at the centre at any one time, and they are in need of anything from pillows, to cushions, to duvets, to dog beds, to help keep cosy this year.

Jacinta Browne, Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Manager, says: “We are absolutely desperate for any bedding and towels that people are able to give us, so do think of us if you are having a spring clean. As you can imagine we get through a lot of bedding daily and have a severe shortage at the moment. As we have dogs of all shapes and sizes and of all ages, a variety of blankets and towels would be ideal - the fluffier and warmer the better!”

If you are able to donate any towels or blankets to Dogs Trust Salisbury, please visit the centre at 45 Amesbury Road, Newton Tony, Wiltshire, SP4 0HW or the charity shop on Crane Street Salisbury
