More housing

First published in News

WILTSHIRE Council says every town will have to find room for more houses under changes to the county’s proposed planning blueprint, the Core Strategy, announced on Monday.

The strategy was thrown into disarray in December when the planning inspector overseeing it, Andrew Seaman, said the number of houses to be built between 2010 and 2026 should be increased by 5,000, to 42,000.

There is already significant development planned with work under way at two large schemes in Tidworth and more in the pipeline in Ludgershall and Tidworth.
