Closure risk for former Tory club
ONE of Andover’s oldest social clubs could close its doors for the last time on Sunday because of falling membership and financial problems.
The Wykeham Club – formerly the Conservative Club – in Western Road will close indefinitely from Sunday, and a crunch meeting will be held to decide its fate.
The club, which became The Wykeham Club in 1998 but remained affiliated to the Conservative Club – has suffered a long-term decline in membership.
