A PRO-EQUALITY festival will take place at The Lights in Andover on 26 March.

Over the past three years, Andover Music Academy has organised the event with local and national community groups and charitable organisations.

Respect-Fest will this year involve students and staff at Sparsholt College on 11 March, as well as a second event at The Lights for the first time on 26 March.

The Sparsholt event will focus on the Gambian Child charity, Ichthyosis Support Group and broadly on disability awareness. Local musicians will perform a wide range of uplifting, life-affirming music with social or political themes.

Disabled ex-military personnel will also be involved and Grateley House staff will lead workshops.

And on 26 March the winners of a battle of the bands competition will perform alongside local musicians.

A range of diverse charity groups will also be invited to speak at the event.

Tickets are available from The Lights at £5, or £4 for concessions.
