THE 7th annual Graham Baker Trophy in memorial of the late and popular Overton darts player was again a roaring success.

Held at The Stute in the village the event brings the local darts community together to remember Mr Baker and take part in friendly competition.

On the night it was Andy Saunders who took the trophy, presented to him by Graham’s father David while Lee Heaver was the runner up.

Money was also raised for the British Heart Foundation and overall £240 was donated to the heart charity.

Steve Ralph of Overton Darts said: “We all had a fantastic evening at The Stute, Andy and Lee played well however the real winner on the night was the British Heart Foundation who we managed to raise £256 for.

“We all had a great night meeting up with some old friends we had not seen for a while as the Overton Dart League folded this year after many years due to a lack of teams.”

A raffle was held and well supported by local businesses and groups including Clock and Thyme, Ikebana Floral Design, the Overton Gallery, Old House at Home, Overton Memorial Institute and Overton United Football Club.
