ANDOVER’S British Heart Foundation Shop is urgently appealing to people to volunteer to drive and save lives collecting and delivering clothing.

All you need to make a huge difference to the fight against heart disease is your own car and some spare time.

BHF shops need constant deliveries to sell in store to help raise money for vital research that will help flight heart disease. Just by collecting stock and bringing it to a BHF shop you will be making a huge contribution.

Volunteering as a driver with the BHF for half a day a month could fund one scientist to carry out their lifesaving research for an hour.

The shop gives volunteer drivers the opportunity to learn new skills, gain full training and the chance to apply for any paid position that becomes available within the shop.

Margaret Richardson, area manager for the Andover BHF Shop said: “Our volunteers are at the heart of the charity and we simply wouldn’t be able to continue our lifesaving work without them.”

If you can’t volunteer but would like to help fight heart disease the BHF is always looking for donations.

Your unwanted items help fill shelves and raise money to help the BHF fund the research that leads to breakthroughs.

BHF Shops operate a free collection service which can be arranged by calling your local shop on 0844 412 5000.
