TO commemorate the centenary of the First World War this year, Andover based charity Veterans In Action will be embarking on one of its biggest challenges to date on 28 April.

That is when they begin a 4,000-mile walk, to be completed over 100 days.

Organisers says the aim of WWI-100 is to raise awareness of the centenary of the start of the Great War, and to learn from the past and raise funds for those veterans who are suffering from the effects of war, or who have found the transition to civilian life difficult.
