AN Andover man who weighed in at over 30 stone at the beginning of the year has started on a strict fitness regime to shed 140lb and raise money for Cancer Research UK along the way.

Ryan Boath, 28, from Swallowfields, starts his weight loss activities when most other people are in bed asleep.

The tough challenge will see him taking part in Dawn Breakers at Andover Martial Arts and Fitness Centre at 6am every weekday for the rest of the year with trainer Andy Lavery, who set the 10 stone target.
