WILD windy weather, which felled several trees in the Andover area in the past 24 hours, is expected to make way for colder conditions this week.
Tonight forecasters are predicting that heavy showers may turn to snow as air from Canada reaches this area.
The snowfall is expected to take place between 11pm tonight and 4am Monday morning after which it will probably turn back to sleet and rain.
Even so motorists may expect some icy conditions, especially on higher routes.
The coming week is also expected to see easterly winds blow in colder air from the continent.
