TIDWORTH Police say a dog was dangerously out of control at Haxton, west of Tidworth, at 9am on Saturday.
A dog ran from an open front door out of the front garden and bit the victim on the arm.
The attack took place in the street and the victim needed hospital treatment.
A police spokesman said: “With respect to a dog dangerously out of control, please be aware that where a dog bites a person in a public place, the courts have the power to order that the dog be destroyed, and the person committing the offence is the person having charge of the dog at the time of the incident.”
