TEST Valley Borough Council has stepped in to save Andover Farmers’ Market.
This Sunday will be the last chance to visit the old style Hampshire Farmers’ Market in Andover following the countywide organisation’s decision to withdraw from the town.
But the council says it will put together a brand new farmers’ and craft market from March featuring the same farmers and other local stallholders and which will be guaranteed to run through 2014.
Leader of the council Councillor Ian Carr, said: “Farmers’ Markets have been an established and i m p o r t a n t part of the calendar of events in Andover High Street.
