THE Movember moustaches are finally off and the money is still rolling in.

Some men in the area joined in with the fundraising activities by spending the whole of November nurturing an unfamiliar growth under their noses all in the name of charity.

Movember has grown over the last five years into a global movement raising more than £250 million for programmes supporting prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health.

Le Creuset saw seven of its staff members take part in the challenge.

The team had interesting facial hair grown over the month with some of the Mo Team being compared to Basil Fawlty, and wild west cowboys So far the team has managed to raise just under £1,000, but donations are still coming in and are hoping to exceed the £1,000 initial target.

The Foresters Fatties, from the Foresters Arms, joined in the Movember spirit and are hoping to break their record once again.

The team of 15 regulars met up weekly to have their moustaches checked throughout the month.

Using weekly fines saw yet more money being raised by the men as they looked to improve on 2012, which saw £1,700 raised.
