ANDOVER’S latest pub opened its doors to customers on Monday with help from the Mayor of Test Valley Councillor Janet Whiteley – and 50 new employees.
The Chalkhill Blue at Andover Commercial Park is part of Marstons Brewery’s rotisserie pub restaurant format.
The new pub offers a pub restaurant menu with all of the usual dishes, alongside a fresh chicken rotisserie offering spitroasted chicken throughout the day.
As well as indoor dining and drinking, there are outdoor areas which could cater for up to 310 people.
The family friendly pub also provides children’s play areas both inside and outside.
Mayor Whiteley said: “It’s a real pleasure to be here for this official opening.
“It’s fantastic to have a new pub in the area, I am sure it will do great business.
“I wish you every success.
“It’s brought employment for 50 staff which is excellent.
“I am sure it will be a credit to Andover.”
The pub will be supporting two locally based charities, Help for Heroes and the Countess of Brecknock.
