Duo sent to prison for possession of cocaine

TWO men from Bulford near Tidworth were sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on Friday 2 August for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
On Friday, 10 August 2012, police stopped a vehicle in Salisbury and found what was later confirmed to be 124.39 grams of cocaine and a small amount of cannabis.
The cocaine seized had a potential street value of £5,000.
The driver, Stuart Charles Richard Vaughan, aged 34 and passenger, Ross Simpson aged 21, both of St Leonards Close, Bulford, were arrested, charged and later pleaded guilty to the offences.
Stuart Vaughan was sentenced to threeyears imprisonment andRoss Simpson given a two-year term.
DS Glenn Atkinson said: “This case highlights the determination of Wiltshire Police to tackle drug use and the supply of drugs in our communities.
“Drugs ruin lives and have a negative impact on our communities.
Community intelligence is very important and is akey part of identifying those responsible for drug supply and drug related crime.
“We ask that anyone who has information on those involved in this type of crime contact police.”
