STUDENTS from Harrow Way Community School have organised a special event for their younger counterparts in Years 2 and 3 from Portway and Knights Enham schools.
The annual Skills4Life Festival has been designed to give these primary school children a fun, sporting day and of course, some skills for life.
Harrow Way Sports Leaders arranged a variety of activities including standing long jump, speed bounce, crazy catch, beach ball alphabet amongst just a few.
The main priority of the sports leaders was to make sure that the primary school children had a great day, learned lots and took new skills home with them.
Kerry Holton, Harrow Way Sport and PE teacher and Leadership Academy manager, said: “There was lots of evidence of co-operation and teamwork, as well as enthusiasm and passion for sport.
“The children all had lots of fun and gained a number of skills such as throwing and catching, jumping, hand eye coordination and team building said Miss Holton.
“There were many smiles and excited faces, showing that they were really getting into the Skills4Life way of thinking.”
