Flowers fill St Thomas'

HIGH Days and Holy Days Flower Festival at St Thomas’ Church in Charlton saw a whole host of floral displays on show across the weekend.
As well as themed displays including ‘A Day at the Seaside’, ‘A Day at Ascot’ and even ‘Guy Fawkes’, the church arch and gate entrance were also decorated as was the baptism bath.
The Flower Festival was dedicated to Reverend Canon Jill Bentall and Reverend Sue Hobbins, celebrating their ministries and dedication to the churches.
Local groups from various other local churches took part with their own displays including the United Reformed Church, Bridge Street Methodist Church, St Michaels and All Angels, Knights Enham Church and St Michael’s West Andover.
Alice Simpson of the organising committee said: “The festival was sponsored by church member Pat Yates in memory of her husband Terry.
