CSMA Club get set to party with Big Weekend

THE Big Weekend, CSMA Club’s summer motoring festival, returns for its fourth year at Thruxton Race Circuit on 16 to 18 August.
This year the weekend is part of the club’s 90th anniversary celebrations and they invite members and non-members to join in the fun and find out more about the CSMA (Civil Service Motoring Association) Club.
The CSMA Club hospitality suite will include a bar and lounge where members and non-members can meet and relax with touchscreen TVs and tablets available.
Over the weekend spectators will be able to see BMW, Ferrari and Porsche going head-to-head on the grid.
There is entertainment including the Jazz and Ale Tent with live music, The Bloodhound Project’s jet- and rocket-powered car designed to go at 1,000mph and a camping and caravanning rally which will see over 400 caravans, motor homes and tents pitching up.
For the children, The Whitemead Forest Park Kids Area will offer candyfloss making, face painting and craft workshops as well as photo opportunities with club mascots Harry the Hedgehog and Sammy the Squirrel.
Live shows include; Titan the Robot, the Black Eagles, Avanti display, Bernie Bennet Superhero, Bruce Airhead, kids disco, CMSA Club quiz, the Swing Ninjas, Munch Party Band and classic vehicle and motorcycle displays.
Tickets for the Big Weekend are available from £10 and children 15 under go free.
