Author is keeping his books local

WRITER David Beeson has released his latest books Warrior Queen and Flawed – both with Andover involved in the plots.
Warrior Queen completes David’s Saxon trilogy while Flawed is a gentle romantic thriller involving a banking failure as MI6 attempts a regime change in South Africa.
David has lived in the Andover area since 1970 and worked at Andover Grammar School, along with teaching biological science at what was Cricklade College.
David explained the inspiration behind his Saxon novels: “I live at Andover Down near the Saxon boundary, not far from the monument at Harewood Forest, which is inclusive of the first book.
“Researching the local Saxon history I became very interested in the Saxon period and it went from there really.”
‘Flawed’ sees various sites from Andover featured, with both main characters having personality flaws.
Both books are available at Waterstones and on Kindle.
