Men in hoodies forced their way into Andover property
12:56pm Tuesday 30th October 2012 in Andover
TWO men wearing black hoodies forced their way into a property at Harvey Place near Winton School in Andover on Sunday (28), threatened the occupants and then assaulted one of them.
The incident took place between 12.30 and 1pm and now detective want to find out more about these events from anyone who was in the area and saw something suspicious or may have heard something.
Both men are described as black with one, aged around 30, of medium build and unusually short at 5ft 2ins tall. The other man, in his 20s, was taller and more muscular and had stubble. His black hooded top had some writing on it.
After making their threats the two men ran off. Detective Constable Rob Harrington, from Andover CID, said: “This was a very unusual incident and although the men weren’t known to the victims, we do not think this was a random event and one of our lines of enquiry is that this was a mistaken address.
“Were you in the area at the time of this incident? “Did you see or hear anything suspicious? “If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch.”
Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Harrington at Andover CID on 101, or call the Crimestoppers charity, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
