TIME is running out for buyers to move into the Matthew Homes development of Sherborne Place, with only six apartments now available.
Matthew Homes has created a unique development in the heart of Basingstoke, with the conversion of a Victorian house and new buildings within the gardens of the Darlington Road site.
Sherborne House was built in the late 19th century by Charles Steevens, a manufacturer of agricultural and road-building machinery, as his family home.
As part of the Sherborne Place development, the original house has been converted into apartments for 21st century living, while retaining much of its original character.
Three of the seven apartments within Sherborne House itself are still for sale and all boast two bedrooms.
Two of the apartments are on the ground floor and are priced at £180,000 and £230,000.
A large apartment on the second floor has a higher price of £250,000.
Matthew Homes also built some new apartments to complement Sherborne House - and only three are still available.
Two of the apartments, both of which have two bedrooms, are available in Darlington House, each priced at £207,500.
Another two-bedroomed apartment, in Shildon House, is on the market for £192,000.
Sherborne Place has communal grounds and there is allocated parking.
The popular development is within easy walking distance of Basingstoke station and many buyers so far have been empty-nesters moving out of family homes.
The selling agent is Halifax Land and New Homes.
