BASINGSTOKE MP Maria Miller has welcomed new figures which show that unemployment in Basingstoke has dropped.

The figures show that unemployment has fallen by 11 people since June this year to 660 people in July, which is 280 less people than the same period last year.

Maria Miller said: β€œIt is good to see the recovery is creating more opportunities for people in Basingstoke with unemployment continuing to fall and even more young people being able to find work. This is great news for everyone in our constituency.”
