COMMUNITY groups across Hart and Basingstoke and Deane will be in line to receive a cash boost after Hampshire County Council agreed to set aside £30,000 for Have Your Say schemes.
Hart Voluntary Action and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have received grants for Have Your Say schemes where organisations bid for money for community projects.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council will receive £25,000 from the county council for the scheme and Hart Voluntary Action has been awarded £12,500.
Residents can decide which projects receive funding at an open day where they vote for the one that would most benefit their community.
Three decision days will be held by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in Tadley, Whitchurch and Basingstoke in March 2015.
Hart Voluntary Action is also giving out 12 grants and members of the public will be able to vote online, by post, or on the Have Your Say in Hart Facebook page.
Councillor Andrew Joy, executive member for communities and partnerships, said: “The Have Your Say scheme gives people a real voice and provides an opportunity for local community projects to be supported.”
