THOSE who know me know that my hair is quite important especially being able to wash it every morning.

Because of this, I have a regular appointments at my favourite hairdressers. Coincidentally this coincides with my contributions to Thought for the Week.

This means that my contributions form a part of the conversation alongside music, politics, the weather and the other trivia that hairdressers have to stay current with.

Driving home from my latest appointment, I started thinking about the different people in my life and how much they know about me.

Hairdressers are a fantastic example especially if you have had the same one for a number of years. However, in reality most people only know what we want them to know about us.

God of course is different. God knows everything about us as Jesus reminds us; “but the very hairs of your head are all numbered” Matthew 10:30 (NASB).

Personally, I find it reassuring to know that little details, like the number of hairs remaining on my head, matter to God. It is a reminder that God cares about us all. and that nobody knows you better.
