THREE people have been charged by police in connection with a major series of distraction burglaries in Hampshire.
The burglaries, including several in north Hampshire, took place on Thursday, March 13, and Thursday, March 20, this year.
Properties in Tasmania Close and Falkland Road, in Basingstoke, and Paulet Place, in Old Basing, were affected.
Officers charged two youths from Middlesex, aged 16 and 17, and Jerry Cassidy, 29, of Greenway, Pinner, Middlesex, with conspiracy to burgle, following an investigation led by Hampshire Constabulary's Serious and Organised Crime Unit.
The three have been remanded in custody and will appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, May 9.
