THE Friends of St John's, Oakley, are holding a quiz night at The Fox pub, in Newfound, on Friday, April 25, starting at 7.30pm, to raise funds for the church.
The cost is £2 per head and there will also be a grand raffle.
HOOK Choral Society is holding its spring concert on Saturday, April 26, at St John's Church, Hook, at 7.30pm, with soloists from Trinity College.
The varied programme includes Mozart's Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Goodall's In Memoriam of Anne Frank, Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, and Tippett's Five Negro Spirituals from A Child of our Time.
Tickets are £10, concessions £8, available on the door and from Trees Newsagents, or from Jennie Butler on 01256 764627.
THE six weeks to rediscover mission and re-imagine the church, organised by St Andrew's Methodist Church, in Western Way, South Ham, Basingstoke, continue on Monday, from 10am to noon.
The subject is "Changing World, Changing Church", and the following one, on May 12, is "Re-imagining Church Community".

ASCENSION Day is on May 1, and there will be a service of Holy Communion at All Hallows, Whitchurch, at 7.30pm, followed by a parish supper in the church room.
Tickets for the supper are £4, and can be booked by phoning Marion Flood on 01264 738451 or Hilary Gould on 01264 893851.
AT ST Michael's, Basingstoke, today, the church choir is holding a come-and-sing afternoon, from 4pm to 7pm, followed by a concert at 6pm.
This event is particularly for children aged seven and above and anyone who enjoys singing. It is primarily a recruiting drive and anyone is welcome to join in.
The concert afterwards will be for relatives and friends and any member of the congregation who wants to come.
