News from the Pews April 14
A WELCOME to Oakridge, at the Basingstoke Eagles Pentecostal Church, which meets every Sunday, at the Oakridge Hall for All, in Forsythia Walk, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
This group has a varying range of backgrounds and cultures and is united by discovering the joy of a Christian lifestyle, by teaching the word of Jesus. The services are structured.
On the first Sunday of each month, there is a healing service, teaching and preaching on divine healing and praying for the sick.
There is Holy Communion on other Sundays, except the fifth, when there is teaching and preaching from the Bible and issues pertaining to everyday life.
On the fifth Sunday in June, August and November, there is a Praise-a-thon, with thanksgiving and prayer for individual needs, the local community and our leaders.
Each service is preceded by singing in praise and worship.
It is hoped that the church will have a Gospel concert in June.
There is also a creche and minibus service available.
For more information, contact the local minister, Rose Chandler, on 01256 468012.

Exhibitors at the Kingsclere art exhibition will be there for the first time.
Admission costs £1, with children entering for free. Proceeds will go to the Friends of St Mary's, Kingsclere.
