THE Sandham Memorial Chapel, in the centre of Burghclere, is now open until March 30, Wednesday to Sunday, from 11am to 3pm, and from April 2 until September 28, on Wednesdays, from 11am to 5pm.
This chapel was designed and decorated by the artist Sir Stanley Spencer to remember those personnel of all ranks who fought in the First World War.
National Trust members are admitted free, adults pay £3.30, children (aged five to 16) £1.75, and under-fives free.

CHURCHES Together in Whitchurch are holding the second of their Lenten services on Thursday, at 7.30pm, at the Baptist Church.
ON Palm Sunday, March 16, there will be a procession led by a donkey, starting from the WI hut, in Hartley Wintney, at 10.45am, followed by the service at St John's Church.
THE Bishop of Basingstoke will dedicate the extension to St Mary's, in Silchester, on Palm Sunday, March 16, at noon for a 12.15pm start.
This will follow the procession and service in the amphitheatre.
PALM Sunday in Old Basing will start with a procession from the Crown Inn car park to the church, starting at 9.15am, with sung Eucharist on arrival at church. Stations of the Cross will be at 5.30pm.
JUST a reminder that on Good Friday, March 21, the Walk of Witness will start from the United Reformed Church, in London Street, Basingstoke, at 9am. The procession will end up in Castle Square.
Hot cross buns and coffee will be served at St Michael's afterwards.
