TWO models of a popular washing machines are being recalled due to an internal fault which could create a fire risk.
The online retailer Very is recalling the washing machine models SW1010 and SW1020 from the brand Swan.
It is thought that a small number of these washing machines have failed in use due to a fault with the internal control unit.
This can lead to overheating during use and in some cases there is a small risk of a fire developing.
The recall affects the item numbers: SW1010W; SW1010Wa; SW1010B; SW1010Ba; SW1020W; SW1020Wa; SW1020B; SW1020Ba.
To confirm whether you have an affected model, check the model number displayed on the front of the machine on the rating label, against the affected model numbers listed above.
If you believe you have an affected machine, stop using the machine and disconnect or switch it off at the wall socket.
