Robber targets vulnerable Basingstoke man

A ROBBER made off with a small amount of change after threatening a vulnerable man in Basingstoke.

The crime took place at 11am on Sunday, October 14, in Lower Church Street.

The 54-year-old victim from Basingstoke, who police describe as vulnerable, was approached by a man who threatened him and demanded that he hand over some money.

The victim handed over a small amount of change.

The robber had short brown hair, was aged in his 20s, and wore tracksuit bottoms with a light blue stripe down the leg and a navy t-shirt.

Detective Constable Paul Smith said: “Fortunately the victim wasn't injured, but he was extremely shaken by this incident.”
