BCOT south site is closed because of power failure

A POWER cut has badly affected teaching at Basingstoke College of Technology this morning.

The southern half of the college, in Worting Road, Basingstoke, was hit by a power cut at 10.30pm last night. Its cause is currently being investigated.

As a precaution, students attending courses on the south site have been told not to come in today. Courses affected include fashion, retail, animal management, computing, catering and hospitality and hairdressing. Clients expecting to go to the hairdressing department have also been told not to turn up today.

The college's north site is functioning normally.
