Silchester Village Hall given a cash booster

THE Silchester Village Hall Trust was awarded a grant of £12,500 from Hampshire County Council.
Councillor Keith Chapman, executive lead member for culture and recreation, approved the funding at his decision day meeting on September 27.
He said: “Village halls and community associations are a valuable asset in every local area and vital in providing an activity hub that brings together local people of all ages.”
