FIREFIGHTERS spent more than five hours tackling a blaze at a farm warehouse last night.
The 20m by 40m building at Oak Farm Nursery in Station Road, Winchfield was destroyed by the fire which started at around 3am.
Crews were called from Basingstoke, Fleet, Odiham, Hartley Wintney and Camberley, and 25 fire fighters worked to extinguish the fire, which was put out by 8.30am this morning.
Watch manager John Amos from Basingstoke fire station, said the building was “well alight” when crews arrived, adding: “The workshop is destroyed.”
He said an investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out.
