Survey reveals widespread support

A SURVEY of Bramley residents has revealed that a majority of people in the village support plans for a footbridge over the busy Bramley rail crossing.

A total of 77 per cent of all the 40 per cent of Bramley residents who responded to the parish council survey said they did want a footbridge over the crossing, which links The Street and Sherfield Road.

After commuting to Bramley for 2 years, and having been stuck on one side or the other of the crossing, often the wrong side, and narrowly avoiding the crossing lowering itself onto my head on several occasions, a footbridge would be extremely useful.
