Chinook in emergency landing scare

A CHINOOK from RAF Odiham landed in a Hampshire field after a warning light came on in the cockpit.

No-one was injured in the precautionary landing, which took place at 4.20pm on Sunday, September 2 at South Wonston, near Winchester. The crew were flying back from Bournemouth Air Show.

RAF engineers were deployed to the aircraft and it returned to the north Hampshire airbase the following day.
