REAL ale lovers had plenty of choice at the Silchester Beer Festival.
Drinkers could sample 14 beers and two ciders at the annual event, held in the village hall and organised by the Silchester Association.
All the drinks on offer were local, including tipples from the Andwell Brewing Company in North Warnborough and the Longdog Brewery based in Worting, Basingstoke.
For the first time, drinkers were given a half-pint glass tankard and were entertained by jazz band Grandpa’s Spells.
Organiser Simon Williams said: “It has gone very well. We had quite a few people early on and the good weather has definitely helped.”
He added his thanks to the nearby Calleva Arms pub and Pamber Stores for supporting the event.
Proceeds will be split between the Tadley Community Responders and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
