Basingstoke men compile stag do manual
9:15am Thursday 16th August 2012 in Local
IT’S a key part of a best man’s duties – and now a Basingstoke group has helped to compile a manual for the ultimate stag do.
Basingstoke Round Table asked people for their best and worst experiences of the so-called “last night of freedom” and included entries in an online list of hints.
The site includes links to stories about stag parties that went wrong – including a group of lads who got caught out by a sudden storm while walking up Mount Snowdon in their pyjamas.
Stephen Saunders, from the fundraising group, said: “Understandably the pressure of organising such an important event can cause a degree of apprehension, so to help deliver a stag do that lives up to expectations, we have released our very own comprehensive guide.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with stag do stories, advice of where to go, what to do and perhaps what not to do, from both our members and the general public, and we’d like to thank them for helping us create such a comprehensive, well-rounded guide.”
He added that people can still submit their tips, examples, photographs or footage of good or bad stag parties to bestman@roundtable. org.uk.
The group provides a network of advice and camaraderie for men aged 18 to 45, and also gives out grants to groups in Basingstoke every year.
