Tyres pinched from Daneshill industrial estate

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of tyres were stolen after thieves cut a hole in a metal container.

The theft of about 100 tyres took place at R and M Commercials, in Bell Road, Daneshill, Basingstoke, between 1pm on Saturday, August 11 and 8am on Monday, August 13.

It is thought the thieves entered the compound from a walkway that backs on to Ringway House.

PC Matt Curson said: “A lot of tyres were stolen and this would have taken some time and a large vehicle would have been needed to transport them.”

Anyone with information can contact PC Curson at North Walls police station in Winchester on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
