None of complaints upheld

HAMPSHIRE County Council received more than 100 complaints during 2011 to 2012 – but none has been upheld by the Local Government Ombudsman.

The council watchdog investigates the complaints about councils in a fair and independent way.

Of the 103 concerning Hampshire, 55 were referred to the Ombudsman investigation team, of which 18 fell outside the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction.

Of the remaining 37, the Ombudsman decided that in 28 cases the council was not at fault. The other nine were discontinued because they were resolved during that time.
