A DELIVERY driver has made an app-eal for help after he was involved in a collision with a driver who then drove off.

Wayne MacAskill was driving his Isuzu truck in Worting Road, Buck-skin, Basingstoke, in the early hours of Sunday, July 1, when a car pulled out of West Ham Lane.

The 37-year-old, of Stag Hill, South Ham, said: “He pulled out in front of me and before I could brake, his car was t-boned in the main road. He then reversed back into West Ham Lane and when I pulled over into a bus stop, he shot off.”
The car, a red Ford Focus, drove off towards Oakley.

Mr MacAskill, who delivers luxury toilets, was driving back from a delivery to Goodwood, West Sussex. The collision damaged his front bumper and one of his headlights.

He said: “It’s not a huge amount of damage but it’s enough to take it off the road. It’s extremely frustrating because I was pulling over to swap insurance details.”
The other car sustained more significant damage to its side, Mr MacAskill said.

He described the driver as being aged between 25 and 30-years-old.
If anyone has information about the incident, they should contact Basingstoke police on 101.

Early hours of Sunday July1st !!! A cynic would say the driver of the red Ford Focus could possibly have been over the limit after a Saturday night out, and decided that stopping is not in his best interest. Hopefully someone will know the owner of the car and shop him.

Pulling out of the road by The Academy eh, that fine generator of Drink Drivers round the clock.

Keep an eye of Facebay, eBay, Autotrader & Gumtree. I suspect the guy will move it on, unless it belongs to one of the numerous car workshops in the estate.

"Wayne MacAskill was driving his Isuzu truck" at what speed? Such vehicles are not know for the owners to obey speed limits or other rules. (Not forgiving the actions of the Focus driver before any of the dumber posters start...)

So you are now generalising that 'owners of Isuzu trucks' are 'to obey speed limits'.

Tell me, oh perfect one, when did you become God and able to judge others with no evidence whatsoever?

You've clearly got some issues - but you need to get help with that jealousy problem dude. How about aspiring to improve your life, rather than trying to drag people down to your lower level?

I think jondave is casting out his line rufus and reeling you in every time. His posts are just too ridiculous for anyone to think like that. He knows what he's doing.

What, more dumb than somebody who tars all owners of Isuzu trucks with the same brush?
