FASHION guru and celebrity stylist Wendy Elsmore was on hand to help shoppers get a great look in Basingstoke’s Festival Place.
Wendy, who has appeared on ITV’s This Morning, was handing out style tips at the shopping centre as part of the annual Style Academy event.
Wendy and an assistant gave customers one-to-one advice on what style of clothes to wear to flatter their body shape, and how to hide and highlight their figure.
Customers were also given advice on what colours to wear during the free style session, which attracted hordes of shoppers.
Wendy said: “We’re working with all sorts of people, of all ages, shapes and sizes.
“We have amazing high street shops, particularly here at Festival Place. Shopping has become confusing so we’re offering this free service to help people make the right choices.
“Clothes aren’t the be all and end all, but the way you dress can have a big impact on the way you feel.”
Dianne Matthews, 44, of South Ham Road, South Ham, Basingstoke, took her daughter Rachel to the event as part of her 17th birthday celebrations.
Dianne said: “She’s got birthday money so we thought we would come here, and get a better idea of what sort of clothes we should be looking for. It’s nice that it’s free and it’s been very useful.”
Rachel, 17, said: “This is the first time we’ve come to the Style Academy. It’s good for getting some different ideas.”
