Tributes after sudden death of young model

TRIBUTES have been paid to a young model who was found dead at her home in north Hampshire.

An ambulance was called to the Lynch Hill Park home of 23-year-old Hayley Crook in Whitchurch at around 8.30am on June 17. However, the former Testbourne Community School pupil was already dead when the emergency services arrived. How she died is not yet clear. but the police have ssaid there are no suspicious circumstances.

Hayley had appeared as a model for the St Tropez clothing range and had worked on the catwalk for lingerie firm Ann Summers.

This year, the London Studio Centre graduate presented a documentary called Into the Paranormal for Odd Sock Productions. She had also worked as an actress and dancer, performing in touring musical ABBA Fever and acting in commercials and theatre productions.

Her parents have been too upset to talk following her death, but Hayley's brother Sam, 25, has paid tribute to his sister on his Facebook account, describing her as "amazing and strong."

He wrote: "Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive to me and my family. Hayley was incredible, amazing and strong - I can feel her strength all around me, helping me support others.

"I'm so lucky to have had her as my sister. I just wish she could have been with us longer. She will always be with us and loved forever."

Charlotte Howard, Hayley's former A-level dance teacher at Queen Mary's College in Cliddesden Road, Basingstoke, said Hayley was "perfect."

She added: "She was a huge pleasure to teach. She was an A-grade student. She was exceptional and stunning. She had everything going for her.

"She was lovely, really popular and not arrogant at all. It's very unusual to have that combination. She was just one of those people who was perfect."

Ms Howard also taught Hayley's younger sister Jennifer. She added: "The family were really close. It's a real shock because of the kind of person she was as well. She was so alive and vibrant. There's not a bad word to say about her. It's devastating."

Hilary Jackson, head teacher at Testbourne Community School, said Hayley was a "delightful pupil - beautiful inside and out."

She added: "She was bright, talented and cared a lot about other people too. She was a really positive member of her school and there were many occasions when her qualities and talents shone through, including playing a big role in our school productions.

"I can see her now as the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. She was the sort of person who helped make the world a nicer place to be. We will remember her with great affection and our heartfelt thoughts go out to her family."

Other people have paid tribute to Hayley on Facebook following her death.

Cara James wrote: "Thank you for being my life and sending that big stunning smile my way and to others. You will never be forgotten in my eyes." Chelsea De Carvalho simply said: "I miss you my beautiful angel."

A police spokesman confirmed that officers were called to the house by the ambulance service. The spokesman said an investigation into Hayley's death has been conducted but there are no suspicious circumstances.

A post mortem examination was carried out and North East Hampshire coroner Andrew Bradley is awaiting for the results of further tests to determine the cause of death. An inquest was opened and adjourned until August 25.
